Inspired by the pulp and radio Shadow of the 1930’s and 40’s, we built a mod to pay homage to this noir, serial adventure part of the Shadow’s legacy.

Every week, radios beamed the voice of Orson Welles (Citizen Kane himself) over the airways to ears around the world. With this in mind, we created a radio to sit over the “Start Scene” shot. Imagined as a love letter to Shadow’s thrilling adventures of yesteryear, the Art Deco radio complements the surrounding area and seamlessly fills the sparse space over the shot.

The mod is easy to install and has been customized to wire right into the “Start Scene” lighting and turns on and off in sync with the insert.

An option now is to to have the default brown version (shown in most images) or a new Mahogany Wood filament version. This later version is made with actual wood based filament and finished with burnished corners and a clear lacquer semi-gloss coating. Both look amazing but we think the wood version has a special additional je ne sais quoi if you will. The last image shown is the wood version.
